Womancraft Publishing's Newest Author

Today I was announced as Womancraft Publishing's newest author!!! Can you hear my happy squeals?

Being a writer has been a long-held dream, probably the longest held, if I'm honest. I've been writing several books for years. This particular book came to me at the time of ordination; literally landed with me half-formed in meditation one day. I knew the sections, some of the chapter titles and I knew I would approach Womancraft to publish. Like many things in my life, it felt guided.

A couple of years after that I noticed I was struggling to read anything, finding myself jealous of the author and wishing I'd written their book! Jealousy urgh! But, my jealousy was highlighting this deep desire in me, and instead of judging it, I needed to listen to the voice whispering "I really want this".

Jump forward another few months and listening to a Julia Cameron (of the Artist's Way) audio one day, I heard her say (I'm paraphrasing) "if you want to write a book now, you'll still want to write a book at 80, so get on with it". And that was it! I was doing it!

In October 2023 (thankfully and synchronistically the opening for submissions pushed out from January that year) I submitted what I'd written to Womancraft Publishing. And after a few iterations, over two years, it was finally written. I received my publishing contract from Womancraft in October 2025.

I'm delighted! Truly delighted! Not just for this dream come true, but for it to come true with Womancraft. I love their ethos, their energy, their emails. I feel deeply seen in my writing and cared for and held in the publishing process. I have to say, I'm a little in awe of their author community (which now I find myself a part of). I didn't know I idolised anyone... but apparently I do... powerful women authors who are speaking up and out in the world! They inspire and humble me.

There's still a long way to go with my book - more edits, proof reading, type setting, author blurb and photos, decisions on cover art - but it's really happening!

My book Living Ceremony - a women's book of sacred ceremonies will be published in Spring 2027 (out for pre-order in November 2026)

I only recently realised, I'd already achieved my dream of becoming a writer. I spend my days (and sometimes evenings) writing ceremonies, social posts, blogs, love letters and filling various journals with my words! Writing is probably the biggest part of my working life. But to be a published author, now that's a whole other thing!

Thankyou Lucy H Pearce, Founder of Womancraft Publishing for believing in me 💖
