SENDING BLESSINGS
Today I send my blessings to all the One Spirit Ordinands who are taking their vows. Vows which state how they promise to show up in the world... how they'll serve... 2 years ago on this day I took my own vow. Spoke the unique words that felt Divined. The words that came to me at the end of my ministry training. A culmination of the journey I'd been on... Through ceremony & my own biography and healing... Through spiritual counselling & an exploration of different religions i

RECIPROCAL MINISTRY
Sharing my 'Today's Ministry...' posts on Instagram has been enlightening... As I ponder at the end of each day where I showed up to minister... to serve... ...sometimes its obvious and its in my work... supporting women through my work at Women's Aid; holding meditation groups, women's circles; Spiritual Counselling or Havening sessions; creating and holding ceremonial workshops and ceremonies. ...other times its tangible and has 'results'... such as creating art in remembra

CONSCIOUS DEATH
On my ministry training we went through the experience of writing a funeral for a peer... which of course meant ours too was written by a peer. It was a strange thing to consult on my own funeral and required some level of acceptance of death. It brought up a lot for me... not least that as a society we've made death the enemy. I engaged my whole family in the process and we had lots of conversations about various aspects of my death and funeral, from how I wanted the time o

WEDNESDAY
A day in the life of an interfaith minister... Interfaith ministry isn't just about about being a celebrant. These posts aim to paint a picture of how my ministry permeates all of my life... For the people who've learnt to meditate with me I offer a 'Motivated to Meditate Club'... perhaps for those who've had a regular practice but have fallen out of it and wish to put more focus on meditation knowing the benefits it brings... or perhaps for those who learnt years ago, but

SUNDAY
A day in the life of an interfaith minister... Interfaith ministry isn't just about about being a celebrant. These posts aim to paint a picture of how my ministry permeates all of my life... Sunday is often a busy day for me... how do you think I spend it? Maybe you're envisaging trips to church or online services... I am a 'minister' after all! But for me spirituality isn't connected to religion. I may talk about God (if people are comfortable with the word), but that mean

FRIDAY
A day in the life of an interfaith minister... Interfaith ministry isn't just about about being a celebrant. These posts aim to paint a picture of how my ministry permeates all of my life... Today started with the disappointment of no hairdressers appointment again! My hair has taken on a life of its own... May it'll even have its own ministry soon After a busy few days at work... Fridays often start with catching up on all that I've laid down to focus on work and family...

MONDAY
A day in the life of an interfaith minister... So many people I speak to about interfaith ministry see it as ceremony work... marking transitions, particularly marriage and death, but it feels so much more than that. I feel it permeates so much of my life so I've decided to write some 'day in the life of' posts to see if I can paint a picture... So, today started, like most days, with putting on my ruby ring and speaking aloud the vow I took at ordination last July and thus
