15. ELOPING TO SKYE - HOW LONG SHOULD WE PLAN TO BE ON THE ISLE OF SKYE?

As long as possible!

Seriously... If you're coming to Skye as part of a wider trip to Scotland, spend as much time as possible here. The island is likely bigger than you think and is made up of lots of peninsulas which make it hard to drive around quickly... not to mention the single track roads with passing places... and the free roaming sheep and Highland Cattle!

If you're planning a legal ceremony, you'll need to be here to pick up your marriage schedule and drop it off again (within 3 working days of your ceremony). Bear in mind that the office isn't open at the weekends and you'll need an appointment to pick up your paperwork mid-week.
