I felt like I'd been transported to an alternate reality. From the wilds of Skye, barefoot in nature, holding intimate elopement ceremonies, to all the glitz & glamour of the #TWIA UK Awards! There were stilt walkers with wings, indoor fireworks, magicians, a red carpet, an illustrator, a casino & the most fabulous array of glittering outfits! It was magical & a LOT! I was so glad I accepted Nicola's invitation to visit @meadowsweetcroft yesterday in honour of British Flowers Week. Marvelling at the spikey leaved oaks, Nicola told me how 11 years ago and long before the vision of becoming Skye's first cut flower grower, she'd planted trees for shelter and winter colour in her garden. I've attempted to look up the variety, not remembering if she said European oaks... and not realising there are no less than 450 varieties of oak! Wandering
